  • PRoject Title:
  • Love, Denied

  • CLIENT:
  • Levi’s NL, in collaboration with MIRROR MIRROR magazine

  • Concept:
  • This shoot was inspired by vintage Levi’s campaigns from the 80s and 90s—back when wearing Levi’s made you instantly cool. Those old ads were filled with passion, love, seduction, and this effortless kind of confidence that felt both bold and laid-back.

Pulling from all of that, I created a visual story about a man trying to express his love in the most romantic way—through letters, handwritten words, and flowers. A gesture that feels rare today.

But she doesn’t accept it. She burns the letters, and people passing by can’t help but watch. It’s raw and expressive.

Still, life is full of twists. And just because one connection fades doesn’t mean another isn’t about to begin.

  • Concept:
  • The inspiration behind this shoot comes from the iconic drawings of Tom of Finland and John Willie.

With this series, I wanted to create a world that feels like a dreamscape of desire, where the roles are unclear and the boundaries blurred.

Are they lovers or friends? Heterosexual or queer? Is it even sexual—or simply a deep form of intimacy?

The shoot plays with these questions, exploring love between people, and tries to entice and seduce the viewer.

  • Concept:
  • This shoot was inspired by the phrase: my hair is my crown.

At the time, I was growing out my own hair and thinking a lot about identity, Black culture, and history. In my research, I came across the beautifully detailed hairstyles worn by different African communities—each one full of meaning, with styles that could tell you someone’s story, background, or status.

I also started looking into historical European crowns—symbols of power and tradition—and began sketching hairstyles that felt like a reinterpretation of those shapes.

The result is a series where hair itself becomes the crown: personal, powerful, and deeply rooted in heritage.
